It’s almost Memorial Day Weekend! Who else is excited for a long weekend & the real kick off of summer? Marc & I are looking forward to a relaxing weekend with hopefully great weather & lots of pool time 🙂 We actually met on MDW three years ago at a wedding, so we are going to celebrate that this weekend as well!

I love dressing Americana-chic for the summer holidays so wanted to share some outfit ideas with you. Whether you are spending your MDW at the beach or at a BBQ, these styles will give you all the inspiration that you need to dress festively! I found so many great items & couldn’t fit them in one inspo board {got a little carried away lol} so have split them into beach & BBQ inspo boards roughly for you guys.

I love using accessories to add in pops of colors, such as red or blue earrings or a hair scarf or ribbon. A very inexpensive way to add this pop is to buy a spool of thin red or blue gingham, star, or stripe ribbon for a couple dollars at a craft store and tie it in your hair. I happened to have some extra thin red ribbon and some thin blue & white gingham ribbon in my craft bin so last year did a fishtail braid in my hair and tied the ribbon on the bottom. Easy way to add some festive flair!
